Devising: Deep Dive

£300.00

A practical, creative and joyful exploration of devising, for anyone who wants to make theatre from scratch - with collaborators, performers, young people or students.

At the heart of devising is the art of getting lost - and finding a way together. Over three days we’ll step into the unknown to explore the devising process as participants and collaborators, combining a unique creative journey with practical reflection and learning that you can apply directly to your own projects. I will draw on more than 20-years experience of making award-winning theatre from scratch (and getting lost while doing it), sharing my practice and knowledge as we go.

If you’ve worked with me before, this course will deepen and expand your knowledge of the devising process.

If you are new to my courses, it’s a perfect, immersive introduction to collaborative play-making.

Feedback from previous courses:

“I feel like my facilitating tool-kit is now overflowing with new ideas and perspectives and I can't wait to put them to work. It was so much fun being a participant and playing and creating.”

“Ned guided the entire course with so much care, intention and attention to detail. So appreciative of the way he’d held the structure of his teachings … he juggled the lens of a creator and teacher so effortlessly, constantly checking in with everyone.”

“It was brilliant right from the start - a warm atmosphere, conducive to chatting with others, brilliant opening exercises which made me feel like I belonged.”
